Clarence Valley Council has been working hard to improve energy efficiency in its operations to minimise it energy consumption and their associated greenhouse gas emissions.

Energy Efficiency Projects

Clarence Valley Council has pursued significant carbon emissions reduction through energy efficiency initiatives in line with its policy position on climate change.

A 2018 review of all the energy efficiency projects implemented was conducted and is summarized below with the estimated greenhouse gases avoided per year as a result.

LED Lighting upgrades at McKittrick Park

Sporting clubs are set to benefit from major upgrades to the facilities at McKittrick Park in South Grafton.

Renovations to the change rooms, public amenities and the referee room have been completed along with replacements to lighting of the sports field.

LED lights Clarence Valley BMX Club

Riders at the Clarence Valley BMX Club will be able to see a bit better with their new lights installed this week.

The new lighting at the track are energy efficient LED's helping to reduce our carbon emissions funded through Clarence Valley Council's Energy Efficiency fund.

LED lighting for tennis courts at Coutts Crossing

New LED lights have been installed on the tennis courts at Coutts Crossing just in time for the new season.

The lights were fully funded by Council and have been welcomed by the club members and the community.

LED lighting at Hawthorne Rodeo Park Arena

The Hawthorne Rodeo Park Arena project includes new LED lighting on arena one and aluminium grandstands.
The lights on arena one are now in place, and the aluminium grandstands have arrived but are not yet at the facility.

This project is proudly funded by The NSW Government.
