Abandoned vehicles
We can investigate and remove abandoned vehicles that have been left on public land, including roadsides.
If you notice an abandoned vehicle on public land, please report it to us.
We will need these details:
- Vehicle registration number (if available)
- Colour, make, model and type of vehicle (provide as much information as possible)
- Condition of the vehicle
- Exact location of vehicle (please provide as much detail as possible)
- How many days the vehicle has been parked in this location (a vehicle is not considered abandoned if it has been moved in the past week).
If the abandoned vehicle is a danger to the public, please call us as soon as possible on 02 6643 0200.

Illegally parked vehicles
We can investigate illegal parking on public land.
If you want to report an illegally parked vehicle, please provide these details:
- Vehicle registration number (if available)
- Colour, make, model and type of vehicle (provide as much information as possible)
- Reason for reporting the vehicle
- Exact location of vehicle (provide as much detail as possible)
- The time of day the vehicle is or was parked illegally
- Any additional information that will help us to locate the vehicle (for example, if this happens regularly, please provide details of the days, times and how often).

Report an illegally parked vehicle
Vehicle obstructing driveway or roadworks
It is illegal to park or stop across a driveway or vehicle access unless the driver is:
- Dropping-off or picking-up passengers
- Does not leave the vehicle unattended
- Completes the drop-off or pick-up of passengers within two minutes after stopping.
If you see a vehicle parked across a driveway, across a vehicle access, or in the way of roadworks, please report the problem to us. Please provide these details:
- Vehicle registration number (if available)
- Colour, make, model and type of vehicle (provide as much information as possible)
- Exact location (provide as much detail as possible)
- The time of day the vehicle is or was parked illegally.
