Proposed Classification of Council Drainage Reserves as Operational

Council proposes to classify Lot 439 DP1309667 as Operational land. Lot 439 is a drainage reserve adjoining land parcels in the Yamba Quays residential subdivision. By dedicating the drainage reserves as Operational, Council will be able to manage the land in accordance with the community's needs.

Drainage reserves serve an operational purpose, hence the classification as ‘Operational’ is appropriate. Council intends to allow the public to use the drainage reserves for recreational purposes (including fishing, swimming and boating) and to allow adjoining landowners to construct water recreation structures on the land under a tenure agreement which would not be possible if otherwise classified.
